Prior to Checking In: While the legal currency is Antillean Florins on the Dutch side of the island, US $ currency is widely accepted. Euros however are only accepted on the French side of the island. All reservations that have an alternate guest checking in should make prior arrangements with the resort (Front Desk). No pet policy is strictly enforced.  Timeshare Usage Tax is required by the St. Maarten Government. Timeshare Usage Tax is per unit occupied and is $50.00 per week, or any portion thereof (For Example: A one week stay or less is $50.00 in tax, an eight day stay up to two week stay is $100.00 in Usage Tax, etc.). Please note that the Timeshare Usage Tax applies to any reservation other than a Rental Reservation. Rental Room Tax is required only on Rental Reservations paid at the resort and is 20% of the rental rate charged. All units are Oceanview but not all units face the ocean/beach directly. While we do our best to honor all guest requests, unfortunately, we can not guarantee unit location. Dear Owners and Guests of Flamingo Beach Resort, We want to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family and to thank you for choosing the Diamond Resorts Flamingo Beach as your vacation destination. We would like to advise you that one of several reserve projects may be occurring while you are vacationing with us. This notice serves to inform you of the commencement of the next project which is to paint the exterior of the main building including the balcony railings. This project has begun on April 1 with an estimated completion by August 30th. We also would like to take this opportunity to advise you that we are busy replacing elevator #2 with a brand new faster one. This project is expected to last another couple of weeks. For those staying on the higher floors in the main building, please do make use of our elevator #1 at the point area of the building. We pledge to do our very best to minimize any inconvenience that may occur during this very important refurbishment while we improve and maintain this resort. Once again, we wish to thank your for choosing our resort and apologize for any inconvenience that you may experience. Please note the following fees may apply: Cash departure fee of $30.00 USD per person, payable at airport in cash (subject to change without notice).
