Directions to Resort:
From Durban

Travel along the N3, past Pietermaritzburg and through Mooi River. You will pass the Wagendrift Dam on your left. Keep going until you reach the Estcourt North Giants Castle Central Berg Turnoff. Turn left at the glide-off, and carry on through Loskop for 28 kms. Please note there are lots of cattle and animals so be careful! When you reach a crossroads with a sign saying Central Drakensberg, turn left. Follow this road for 11 kms. Champagne Sports Resort is situated on the left hand side.

Directions to Resort: From Johannesburg (Scenic Route)

CAUTION: Do not follow this route in wet or freezing conditions.
Travel on N3 from Johannesburg to Harrismith. At Harrismith turn right on to the N5 towards Bethlehem / Bloemfontein. Proceed for approximately 5 km and turn left onto the R712 QWA-QWA / Bergville Road. Proceed for about 10 kms. Turn left again on the Bergville / Oliviershoek Pass (R74) Road. Continue past Sterkfontein Dam, down Oliviershoek Pass, straight through Bergville and on to Winterton. At Winterton turn right onto the R600, Central Berg Road, which is directly opposite the Engen garage. Proceed for about 13 kms to the crossroad junction at Thokozisa. Cross straight over and continue for approximately 11.4 kms. The hotel is situated on the left hand side.

From Johannesburg (Freeway Route)

Travel on N3 from Johannesburg to Van Reenen’s Pass. Pass through the Tugela Toll Plaza which is at the bottom of Van Reenen’s Pass. Continue approximately 14 kms to the R616 Bergville turn off. Proceed left on the N11 towards Ladysmith for approximately 4 kms and turn right onto the R600 Spioenkop / Winterton Road. Travel along over the highway and past Spioenkop Lodge / Nature Reserve. When you reach a T-junction, turn left to Winterton. When you get into Winterton take a right over the railway line (R600). This is directly opposite the Engen garage. Follow that road until you reach the crossroads at Thokozisa. Go straight over the crossroads and travel approximately 11 kms until you see Champagne Sports Resort on your left hand side.

Prior to checking in: No pets allowed. Car hire is essential to tour the surrounding area. Guests are strongly advised to seek expert health guidance with regards to any medical prevention, i.e. vaccinations, malaria tablets, etc. Guests do need to verify their entry requirements (i.e. Visa) in advance prior to travel. This is an affiliate resort of THE Club®. The resort is not owned or managed by Diamond Resorts International and there is no representative onsite. Bookings are for durations of 7 nights only.
