At Glacier Mountaineer Lodge you are in the heart of the village at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in the Purcell Mountains. The peaks of the Canadian Rockies and the Selkirk Mountains surround you and the gondola is at your doorstep. Kicking Horse Mountain Resort has become quietly famous for it's epic portions of champagne powder - smooth, dry snow that can make a novice skier feel like a pro.Located just 2.5 hours west of Calgary (270 Km) via the Trans-Canada Highway, Kicking Horse has terrain suitable for the entire family while it's abundance of high-alpine bowls in traditional heli-ski terrain will challenge and thrill any expert. In the summer, the Kicking Horse River offers world-class rafting, golf courses can be found nearby and don't miss 'Boo's' Grizzly Bear refuge; the world's largest enclosed Grizzly Bear habitat. Glacier Mountaineer Lodge is an affiliate of ExtraOrdinary Escapes and is not available for bookings by Diamond Club members at this time.

Directions to Resort: Leaving the airport, head west on Airport Rd NE as it converges into Barlow Trail NE N. Turn left onto 96 Ave NE/Airport Trail NE W. After 1.9 km, merge onto the ramp heading towards Deerfoot Trail/AB-2 N. Take exit 271 for Alberta 201 W/Stoney Trail. After 21.8 km, take exit 36 towards AB-1 W/Trans Canada Highway W. After 247.1 km along the Trans Canada Highway W, turn left onto BC-95 S which becomes 10th Ave N. Turn left onto 9th St N and right onto Kicking Horse Dr. After 9.9 km along Kicking Horse Trail you will arrive at your destination on the left.

Smart AlertSeasonal Parking Fee

In recognition that demand for underground parking between December 1st through March 31st, a seasonal parking fee will be charged on a nightly basis during this peak period. Guests will be charged a fee of $15.00 on a nightly basis. Each of the registered parkers will be assigned a key fob for parkade access and a parking pass will be issued indicating reservation ID#, check in and check out date. An 11am check out time including parking privileges will be communicated and strictly enforced. Lost or non-returned key fobs will result in a $25.00 replacement charge. Only ONE parking spot per reservation is available inside. Overflow parking is available complimentary in the parking lot behind the Mountaineer Lodge. Guests will be given a white paper OVERFLOW pass to indicate they are guests of Glacier Mountaineer Lodge as per the safety protocols of RCR who own the parking lot. **Any guests or groups that booked before this policy was created will not have to pay for parking.
