Dan + Shay, Cole Swindell, Lauren Alaina Perform at CMA Awards

We had our eyes on country music and our fingers crossed for Diamond Resorts Celebrities Lauren Alaina and Dan + Shay during Wednesday evening’s 52nd Annual Country Music Association Awards.
The show kicked off with a star-studded performance by country music legend Luke Bryan featuring several hit makers, including Diamond Celebrity ambassadors Cole Swindell and Lindsay Ell.

As always, Lindsay slayed her guitar and Cole displayed the vocal chops that have skyrocketed him to country music success. It was an energetic and electrifying performance – the perfect way to begin an unforgettable evening.
The outstanding performances continued throughout the show, with Dan + Shay delivering a goosebumps-worthy performance of their single “Tequila,” for which they received several award nominations.
Though the duo didn’t scoop up any wins, they showed the music world they’re here to stay – and are going to keep performing darn good country music.
Thank you to our fans and everyone in the country music community who supported us this year. You truly changed our lives. We promise to work even harder for you next year.

Dan + Shay signed on as Diamond Celebrity ambassadors in May and have since performed several private shows for Diamond Resorts members across the country. After joining the Diamond family, the duo said “Traveling the world is one of the greatest perks of being a musician. We’re so excited to perform for our fans at Diamond Resorts this year, and to soak up some vacation time along the way!”
Lauren, who also signed on as a Diamond Celebrity in May, echoed that sentiment at a recent private performance for Diamond members, saying she is thankful for the support Diamond Resorts has provided her, especially during a recent family emergency.
She took the CMA stage on Wednesday to bring back some classic country with a cover of Dottie West’s “Lesson In Leavin.” She powered through the first verse with her signature soulful sound, and then spoke about this year’s Country Music Hall of Fame inductions.
As a nominee for the New Artist of the Year award, we had our fingers crossed for Lauren, who has had an incredible year having released a new single, “Ladies in the ‘90s,” and being named the 2018 New Female Vocalist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music. Ultimately, her former tourmate, Luke Combs, clinched the win.
